Villegas Resto & Grill was one of the highlights of our time in Buenos Aires. Located in a vibrant, trendy neighbourhood, it perfectly combines outstanding food with the warm, traditional atmosphere of an authentic Argentinian grill. We arrived as a couple without a reservation and had to wait around ten minutes for a table, but it was absolutely worth it. From the moment we were seated, Alberto looked after us brilliantly. He was warm, welcoming, and took the time to explain the menu and offer recommendations, making us feel right at home. To start, we shared two empanadas—one salmon and one beef—and they were outstanding. They perfectly showcased everything that makes Argentinian cuisine so special: fresh, flavourful, and expertly prepared. For our main courses, we chose the grilled salmon with risotto and the prime rib steak. Both dishes exceeded our expectations. The quality of the food was exceptional, and the portions were incredibly generous—we simply couldn’t finish everything. Alberto suggested finishing the meal with an espresso to help settle us after such a feast, and he was absolutely right. The restaurant itself has a charming, traditional Argentinian grill atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel authentic and memorable. To top it all off, the meal was extremely reasonably priced for the quality, quantity, and level of service we received, making it fantastic value for money. Excellent food, generous portions, attentive service, great value, and a wonderful atmosphere make Villegas Resto & Grill an easy five-star recommendation. We would happily return the next time we’re in Buenos Aires.
Best meat we had in Buenos Aires, specifically the skirt steak accompanied by the squash with blue cheese, it was AMAZING. wine was excellent too and we were counselled for a fair price wine (Malbec). Wonderful experience in Puerto madero area if you are ever around check it out.
This was an absolutely incredible culinary experience. They offer the most delicious option for a great steak, alongside other fantastic local dishes. The restaurant has a high level of specialization. Nicolas González was incredible!
Everyone had a different kind of steak and every one was cooked superbly! Nicholas, our waiter, was very attentive and his English was very good! Great side dishes and desserts! We were given a welcome drink and a glass of sparkling wine at the end, complimentary!
I had a wonderful experience at Villegas Resto as I was solo traveling in Buenos Aires. My server, Pedro, was very attentive and took great care of me and provided excellent service. I would say some of the best service I have ever had. The food was delicious - I will confess I ordered multiple plates to take advantage of trying a bit of multiple options. ;) Pedro’s dessert and wine recommendations did not disappoint. I am very happy to have chosen Villegas Resto as a place to stop during my brief stay in Buenos Aires!
