La Brigada in San Telmo is a must-visit for meat lovers! The bife, chorizo, and entraña were all excellent — juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. The provoleta is an absolute must (that cheesy, melty goodness!), and the empanadas are some of the best I’ve had in Buenos Aires. Throw in the lively football atmosphere and you’ve got a true neighborhood parrilla experience that feels authentic and fun. Highly recommend! Average price per person in usd 30-45 usd
Old-school parilla in Buenos Aires with solid cuts of meat. I liked the empanadas although I suspect by this point I was just realizing that American versions of Argentine empanadas are too doughy. As for the meats, they each have good char but could use more rendering. The beef is better than the pork, and I'd say the short rib was my favorite. Overall a place I'd be OK eating at again, especially for large groups. My favorite part of the place is the large amount of football paraphrenilia. Sports-y vibe.
I love how charming this old school parrilla is. I had the best waiter Oswald and he made great suggestions and the service was again old school and truly excellent. My salad was fresh. And delicious an arugula and I got the short rib roast ( Oswald pointed to his ribs ha ha ) and the meat cooked perfect and mashed potatoes.... desert was ice cream sundae Great place great vibe
Good vibes and a very football oriented atmosphere. For steakhouse in Buenos Aires I still believe it was quite touristy. Good service and nice variety of cuts!
Our experience at La Brigada in Buenos Aires was good overall, but for a place with such rich history founded in 1992 by owner Hugo Echevarrieta in San Telmo I expected more from the food. The Bife de Chorizo Especial was solid but not the best we’ve had. The wine selection was delicious, though the bill felt quite steep, aligning with recent visitor notes on pricing. Hugo himself was incredibly welcoming and friendly, which made the visit memorable. But the server forgot many times the order and what we needed.
