La Cabrera
Argentina
Avis
Best steak in town—perhaps even in all of Argentina. It's on the pricey side, but absolutely worth every cent. The staff are professional, attentive, and highly knowledgeable, making the dining experience exceptional from start to finish. Advance reservations are strongly recommended, especially on weekends and public holidays, as tables fill up quickly. If you're visiting Buenos Aires, this is a must-try dining experience.
The amazing servers Luis, Daniel and Samy! Staff here treats you like their long time guests. They are warm, helpful and attentive. Food is of good quality and big portions. No rushing here you. An have your sweet time and savoring your food. Highly recommend!
An overall incredible first welcome meal to Buenos Aires. One of the best steaks i’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting paired with an incredible Malbec. La Cabrera exceeds my taste, understanding and overall expectation of an Argentinian steakhouse. Having the privilege of tasting the empanadas, provoleta, and the ribeye. I’m just over the moon. Being my first restaurant in Argentina and not being familiar with the tipping culture, I had not tipped firstly two reasons. As a solo diner, Nelson did an incredible job and was amazing at explaining and his presentation. But he did not inform me of the abundance of side plates that would come by just my presence at La Cabrera, to which I would have ordered less to enjoy more. But Alas that wasn’t the main problem, which was the provoleta that was a huge portion. More than 3 people id say which should’ve have been informed especially with the knowledge of me being a solo diner. Secondly the bill came and was charged for an extra glass of wine. Again me being a solo diner I’d say my bill might’ve been the shortest in the restaurant but did not appreciate my first Argentinian meal to have to check and clarify. To which Nelson rectified immediately. Overall an amazing performance, great empanadas, tasty provoleta, scrumptious bread. But the rib eye was a whole other level. As of this moment in all the countries i’ve had a steak none the one here which Nelson cut perfectly and explained the accompanying sides. Definitely would come back again to try the other steak cuts they have. Lovely restaurant but do make a reservation and come earlier than ur timing as even with a reservation I had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes.
I came here on the recommendation of someone whose food opinions I trust. To be honest, I went more as a courtesy than with high expectations. I ordered the ribeye, cooked slightly below medium. What happened next was not normal. This wasn’t just the best steak I had in Buenos Aires. It was the best steak I’ve had in my life. I know that sounds exaggerated, but that’s exactly why I’m keeping this review short. The more I try to describe it, the more it sounds unbelievable. This place is the real deal. Absolutely extraordinary.
The food was delicious, they have a great selection of meats and a really nice dry age beef display. The atmosphere was intimate. Service was a little slow between tables but it didn't ruin the night. Would definetly look forward to coming back.
