Had a great experience at Quotidiano in Buenos Aires. I stopped by during happy hour and took advantage of the deal, pairing it with a salad. Both the food and drinks were generous in portion and very enjoyable. A few Aperol Spritzes later, it turned into a perfect relaxed afternoon. The only downsides were minor but noticeable. First, there doesn't seem to be a designated space for delivery riders, so orders end up being left in bags right on the pavement at the restaurant entrance, which doesn't look ideal. Second, after I tagged the restaurant on Instagram, someone who claimed to be the owner checked out my profile and later came over to chat. He enthusiastically recommended another venue from their group, though it quickly became apparent that the invitation had more of a date vibe than a restaurant recommendation—which was unexpected and gave me a good laugh. Overall, a nice spot with good value during happy hour, generous servings, and a lively atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Buenos Aires.
Cotidiano has become a must-visit for me every time I travel to Buenos Aires. I first discovered it about four years ago, and since then, I make a point of visiting one of their locations on each trip. By chance, it has been a different one every time, and across the board, the experience has been consistently very good. The service is always strong, the staff is attentive, and each location offers its own pleasant atmosphere. They are usually quite busy, but the wait tends to be short. At the Recoleta location, there was a wait, but we were able to get seats at the bar fairly quickly. The service there was excellent: efficient, friendly, and well organized. The wine list is well curated. We ordered a bottle that offered very good quality at a reasonable price. As for the food, we started with fried ravioli, which we loved. Then we ordered two different pasta dishes, and both were very well executed. Everything arrived at the same time, without long waits, which added to the overall experience.
Great pasta (I had the Ziti with mushrooms and my brother had Carbonara) and highly recommend the salads (made with super fresh heirloom tomatoes) as well. They were super fast coming out with the food and delivered it at the same time so you may want to ask for it to come in stages if you prefer more of an European style of food service. All the food was great and our server spoke really good English.
We had such a good experience in this restaurant. My fiance is not a huge fun of Italian cuisine but he loved every single dish here. We enjoyed lamb ravioli so much that we ordered a second portion. We will definitely be back. And burrata was 10/10
