Description
Your journey begins with hotel pickup in El Calafate aboard a rugged 4x4 vehicle. Cross the Chilean border to Torres del Paine National Park and explore its most accessible scenic sites. Learn about the local flora, fauna, and geology while visiting key viewpoints, waterfalls, lakes, and lagoons. The tour includes short hikes to enhance your experience.
On the second day, a minivan will take you from your hotel to Los Glaciares National Park. You will travel approximately 50 miles on paved roads overlooking mountains and a blue lake. A local guide will lead you along 2 miles of boardwalks offering views of the Perito Moreno Glacier’s massive front face. Informative signs detail key points, and you may witness ice chunks calving into the lake.
An optional 1-hour boat ride is available at an additional cost, bringing you closer to the 260-foot-high glacier. The tour returns to El Calafate in the early evening. Note that seasonal variations may affect the order of the day tours.
