I recently experienced Crizia in Buenos Aires. A spectacular experience of the senses. The food was fresh, well presented and the service was superb.
This is one of the fanciest restaurants I’ve ever eaten at in Buenos Aires. It’s a very formal vibe and very creative food creations, preparations, and present presentation. I like how they’re trying the modern field with serving amusebouche on rocks. The wreck fish was well prepared. And they have these Japanese oysters that are grown in Patagonia that are very good.
This restaurant does everything well except food. Ambiance and service were amazing. They started off the meal with amuse bouche that was pretty tasty. I ordered a beautifully plated oyster appetizer and fish for main course + wine. Fish and oyster dishes had zero flavor. I spent approximately $100 US for one person, it was not worth it. I went to this restaurant because it is mentioned on the Michelin guide. It might be time to throw away the Michelin guide…
I had originally wanted to come in for a dozen oysters and maybe some meat plate. I changed my mind as the last minute to the seafood tasting menu (Puro Mar). Whoa man, did I make the right choice. I not going to trying to explain how delicious everything was, I posted pics of my experience, they'll speak for themselves.
Outstanding experience. We had the seafood tasting menu and it was exceptional: impeccable technique, creative flavor combinations, and top-quality product. Sophisticated, original, and perfectly executed. The atmosphere and service were equally excellent. Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in Buenos Aires.
