Sides were excellent. The meat was pretty stiff and not worth the price but it was still delicious. Staff was great!
Food was tasty and price was reasonable, particularly the set meal which actually had several choices for the main and side dishes, desserts and drinks. The burgundy pear was very delicious.
We went here for our anniversary dinner last week, and were blown away by this parilla. We have been to quite a few parillas in all neighborhoods of Buenos Aires, and we both agree that the service here was probably the most impressive. Most of the customers that came in to dine were regulars, and the staff welcomed them by name and with a hug and kiss, as is usual for a porteño. Bravo! There were families, an older gentlemen dining alone, couples… the vibe was relaxed and a very different mix of customers. Superb! Although it was our first time, the young waiter who helped us made us feel at home also, and gave us some good recommendations. We shared a super generous portion of various meats, a salad, a side of fries, a cocktail, a coffee and their bread basket and paid less than we would at an overhyped parilla in puerto madero or Palermo SoHo. We definitely recommend!
I ordered the fresh burrata salad, filet mignon, and a glass of wine. After I placed my order, the waiter came back to let me know they were out of fresh burrata. I asked for a similar recommendation, and he suggested a dish I wasn’t familiar with. Trusting that it would be comparable, I went ahead and ordered it. When it arrived, I was really disappointed to find that it was a fried cheese dish. It was extremely salty, very heavy, and honestly inedible. I asked a female waitress if it could be removed from the bill or replaced, explaining that it was a recommendation and that I had only taken one bite, but she said no and seemed completely uninterested in helping. On top of that, my waiter never came back to check on me after taking my order. I would have ordered another glass of wine and a proper salad if someone had bothered to check in. Overall, the service was very disappointing, especially for the price. I wouldn’t recommend this place, as it’s not worth the money. That said, the filet mignon was actually pretty good and a decent value.
The rib eye steak was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. The quality of the meat really stood out.The service was excellent, and the waiter spoke very good English, which made the experience even more comfortable.
