Good service. Perfect getaway from the hectic scene inside San telmo market. Choripan was good. House Malbec was surprisingly good also. The air was a little smoky inside since it’s an open grill. 10% off if paying with cash.
This place likely gets overlooked by tourists as it’s right by the wildly popular San Telmo market, but trust me when I say to skip the market and come right here. This was easily the best meal I had in all of Argentina and at a great price point. If you’re going to prioritize one meal out in Buenos Aires, I beg you to make it this one.
This is my first parilla in Buenos Aires and I had such a great time. Generous portion sizes, I have had better cuts ( at way higher prices ) but this was the best grilled meat I have had. In addition to the food, the service and the staff all were amazing and even offered to take a pic. Can’t wait to go back.
Such a great place for a Choripan, wine and a beer!! Everyone was nice, music was fun and food was delicious!
I usually do not write a review about a restaurant. However this place needs attention. The service is very slow and not orderly since they appear understaffed. They seem to ignore you unless you put your order at the cash register. I am not sure this is common etiquette in Buenos Aires. The steak they served me a “Plato” of lomo was supposed to be a plate and not a sandwich. They sent me the driest tenderloin I have ever seen in my life. See the picture. The side dishes of chimichurri were served in dishes that were reused and not washed. They took a used dish with some old sauce in and simply added more. I was watching the server do it. I had to return it and ask for new dishes. Then they also allow dogs in the restaurant. If that is okay in Buenos Aires then please correct me. I think this is the worst place I have ever been to and definitely a bad flavor of Buenos Aires.
