Argentine Asado Experience + Workshop

Experiences

Learn how to make Argentine asado in this cooking workshop in Buenos Aires. You'll discover the different cuts, cooking times, and secrets of one of Argentina's most famous dishes.

The Argentine Asado, Much More than Food

The Argentine asado is a tradition, a way of eating meat that has been passed down through generations and symbolizes meetings with family and friends. At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the entrance to The Asado Experience, where the hosts will teach us the secrets of asado.

Located in an old family manor house with over 100 years of history, this restaurant offers an authentic Argentine asado experience. We'll start by learning about different cuts of prime-quality meat, while also focusing on techniques such as starting the fire, making embers, and understanding the cooking times required for each cut.

We'll also learn how to prepare chimichurri, a dressing to accompany the meat. The cooking class lasts around 3 hours and concludes with a tasting of choripán, black pudding, pork matambrito, sweetbreads, and a main course of pork loin with roasted vegetables, all paired with an Argentine malbec wine. To finish, we will enjoy a dulce de leche-type dessert.
