Reviews
A friend recommended Atıs Bar to me because of its garden and my love of gardens. The setting is really cool on the upper level of an old Buenos Aires home. There are walkways, bridges, terraces, and cozy nooks among the vines and garden. It was winter and dark when I went, so the garden was not at its premium, but still really cool. I had a fernet and come that was a good size and fair price.
From the start the hostess taking names to seat you , to the waiter mistakenly taking our order. The Hostesses up front were very presuming to say the least, also people who arrived after us were seated before us. The place is interesting but to be fair it’s an old building with 20 year old Spanish tile to make it look like a heritage site, which it is not. Buenos Aires and Argentina have many more beautiful places than this. Food was Meh and they made a mistake on our order.
ATIS Bar is a really nice spot with a beautiful setting and a great overall atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that feels easy to relax in and enjoy your time. The service was also very good, friendly, attentive, and added to the experience. Simple, but done well. Definitely worth a visit.
The place is lovely, it’s an old building with a very unique charm. We went there around 6pm and it was cool (temp wise) and with a calm vibe; we were very excited to enjoy a merienda; that’s when it all went down. Service is sub par. And it’s not the waitresses attitude, they’re actually friendly and probably this place’s only saving grace. But we sat there for a while til they took our order. And then it took a while to get our drinks and food. This is what I’m mad about: they have potential to deliver a wonderful experience but their drinks were meh and the food was bad. Our drinks needed more carbonation - I can’t understand how they missed the mark by so little. It’s a small detail but ruins the entire cocktail. Then the food: not only was it bad but there was a hair in my croque monsieur. And it wasn’t even a croque monsieur but their own interpretation which wasn’t better than the original idea so why bother? I left disappointed cause I wanted so bad to give them an incredible review. This place has tons of potential but sadly, falls short in every aspect but the architecture.
