Tour Description

The tour begins with hotel pickup in Tucumán between 7:30 AM and 8:15 AM. Your first stop is Tafí del Valle, where you can explore the town, sample local farmhouse cheeses, and enjoy countryside views.

Next, visit the Quilmes Ruins, located in the Calchaquí Valley. This archaeological site was once a fortified settlement of the Calchaquí natives. Your Spanish-speaking guide will provide detailed insights into the history and significance of the ruins.

In the afternoon, arrive in Cafayate, known for its wine production. You have the option to visit a local winery. After the visit, you can choose to return to Tucumán or remain in Cafayate to continue your travels (note: no drop-off or accommodation is included in Cafayate).

Along the way, the tour passes several other points of interest, including San José del Monte Ruins, Los Sosa Gorge, the 'El Indio' monument, Menhires Park, La Angostura Lake, and El Mollar.
