Best wineries to experience in Argentina

Arts & Culture Food & Drink Retreats & Relaxation
When we talk about Argentina, it's mandatory to mention the quality of its wines. These places not only provide high-quality wine, they also allow you to live unforgettable experiences, admiring the architecture, and tasting gastronomy.

Zuccardi Valle de Uco

Inaugurated in 2016, Zuccardi Valle de Uco blends in wonderfully with the landscape in which the mountains stand out. Chosen in 2019 and 2020 as the best winery in the world. The Zuccardi family rises to the top of the "The World’s Best Vineyards" category.

The building was built from materials such as iron, sand, and stone, with a metal dome that reflects sunlight, respecting the principles of sustainability

The experience is flourished by a journey through the vineyards, the different spaces, and the ‘Piedra Infinita’ restaurant. There they offer up to a maximum of 50 diners, a 4-course menu made with regional products, paired with Zuccardi wines, and with unparalleled views of the mountains.

Bodega Catena Zapata

Founded by Nicola Catena, an Italian immigrant who arrived in Argentina in the late nineteenth century, planting his first vineyard in 1902. Later, in the 1960s, the winery was still governed by ancient Italian traditions, until his grandchildren decided to be inspired by the customs of Napa Valley and incorporate the Californian-French technique.

They planted Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and cloned Malbec at a higher altitude. The location and altitude give them an excellent natural acidity, structure, and color that guarantee the aging potential, smoothness, and intensity that defines Malbecs.

The stepped pyramid with Mayan style that dominates the winery located in Agrelo, Mendoza, stands out, where wine tourism activities are carried out such as an "immersion" in the history of Malbec, or a visit to the Adrianna vineyard - "The grand cru of South America" - in Valle de Uco.

The winery offers three tours, a visit to "La Pirámide", the "Malbec Renaissance Tour" and "Adrianna Vineyard Grand Cru". Each of them is carried out in small groups, so it is advisable to reserve the date and time in advance.

The quality of its wines is determined by stainless steel tanks aged in French oak vats. Structured, elegant, with an intense flavor and color. Not only its wines deserve to be accentuated, but also sparkling wines, another of the registered brands of Bodegas Salentein.

The design of La Cava is incredible, with a piano inside and the compass rose occupying a large part of it, with its points oriented towards each cardinal, to represent its relationship with the rest of the world. This magnificent scene is presented nine meters underground and is shown on the tour, where the Art Gallery is also accessed.
