Palermo Free Walking Tour
Explore one of the most extensive neighborhoods in Buenos Aires on this free tour of Palermo. We will pass the Botanical Garden, visit the Galileo Galilei Planetarium, and more!
Description
At the meeting time, we will gather in Plaza Italia, next to the Garibaldi Monument. The tour will feature charming tree-lined avenues and elegant houses. We will first visit the Carlos Thays Botanical Garden, a 7-hectare green space with numerous plant species.
Next, we will tour the Ecopark, focused on the conservation of endangered species, where we will learn about ecosystems and Argentina's biodiversity. Following this, we will explore the Plaza Intendente Seeber, featuring a stone pergola, deer sculptures, and a statue of General Juan Manuel de Rosas.
We will then proceed to the Monument to the Magna Carta and the Four Regions of Argentina, donated by Spain in 1910, also known as the 'Monument of the Spaniards.' We will also visit the Garden of the Poets, dedicated to writers like Alfonsina Storni, Jorge Luis Borges, and Dante Alighieri, and the Rose Garden, home to over 1,800 roses and the Andalusian Patio, a gift from Seville.
The tour will conclude after approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, passing the Urquiza Monument and the Galileo Galilei Planetarium.
