Market Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the entrance to the Franciscan Museum of Monseñor Fray José María Bottaro, on Calle Adolfo Alsina, 380, in front of the Basilica of Saint Francis.
From here, we'll head over to the San Telmo Market. Since 1897, this building has been a popular meeting point for locals and tourists in Buenos Aires.
We'll start by walking down Calle de la Defensa, discussing the city's history and stopping at the Manuel Belgrano mausoleum. Then, we'll continue towards the famous Mafalda Statue for a photo opportunity.
Finally, we'll arrive at the San Telmo Market. Inside this historic building, you will discover numerous market stalls selling local products, including meats, fruits, fresh vegetables, antiques, books, and vintage cameras.
We'll stroll among the market stalls and stop at one of the popular eateries specializing in Choripán, a chorizo sausage sandwich. Here, we'll try one along with an empanada and a glass of wine.
Our next stop will be a traditional stall selling 'dulce de leche', where you'll taste an authentic Argentinian alfajor and receive a small surprise gift to end the tour.
