On this day trip to Campanopolis from Buenos Aires, we'll visit a medieval-style village built in the 20th century.
At the designated time, we will pick you up from Cerrito Street in Buenos Aires, starting our journey south to this historically rich town.
After 30 minutes of travel, we will arrive at the medieval village of Campanopolis, located in the forests of Ezeiza. In the 1980s, businessman Antonio Campana, diagnosed with a terminal illness, embarked on creating a medieval-inspired village using recycled materials.
Our guided tour of Campanopolis will last approximately 1.5 hours, during which we will explore its architecture, narrow streets, and hidden secrets. Campana utilized materials from the old iron columns of the Galerías Pacífico, gates of the Palermo Hippodrome, and the lights and clocks from the Plaza de Mayo, among other antiques.
Campana created the village without blueprints or architectural assistance. We will visit museums featuring wood, iron, and decorative elements known as caireles. A highlight is a collection of 12 small houses made from stone and bricks.
After our visit to Campanopolis, we will return to Buenos Aires, with an estimated return to the meeting point 6 hours after pickup.
