Your day begins with hotel pickup in El Calafate, followed by a comfortable drive through the wild Patagonian steppe. Along the way, you’ll cross the Santa Cruz River and make a scenic stop at Estancia La Leona, a historic countryside inn where you can enjoy homemade pastries and warm up with a hot beverage. As you continue the 220 km journey, take in jaw-dropping views of Lake Viedma, its glacier-fed waters sparkling beneath the towering silhouettes of Cerro Fitz Roy (Cerro Chaltén) and Cerro Torre — both visible on clear days. You may even catch a glimpse of the massive Viedma Glacier and its floating icebergs. Upon arrival in El Chaltén, enjoy 5 hours to explore the town and surrounding nature. A short guided 700-meter hike takes you to the Mirador de los Cóndores, offering sweeping views of the valley and nearby peaks.
