Description
Discover Aconcagua beyond the usual viewpoints on a private full-day hike from Mendoza to Confluencia Camp, the first major camp on the normal route to the summit.
Your day begins with pickup at your accommodation in Mendoza. A dedicated driver takes you toward Aconcagua Provincial Park, approximately 200 km from the city, while your mountain guide accompanies you for the hiking experience.
After completing the entrance formalities, begin the hike with your professional mountain guide. The trail follows the Horcones Valley into the heart of Aconcagua Provincial Park, with increasingly close views of the surrounding peaks and the high-altitude landscape.
After approximately 3 to 4 hours of hiking, reach Confluencia Camp at around 3,400 meters, where expeditions heading toward the summit spend part of their acclimatization process. Take time to rest, have lunch, explore the camp surroundings, and experience a side of Aconcagua that cannot be seen from the road.
Aconcagua is part of our regular work as mountain guides, including multi-day expeditions and summit ascents. During the hike, your guide can share firsthand knowledge about the mountain, its routes, camps, altitude, expedition life, and what it takes to climb the highest peak in the Americas.
After visiting Confluencia, hike back through the Horcones Valley to the park entrance. Your driver will be waiting for the return journey to Mendoza.
This is a long mountain day — approximately 13 hours and 400 km of driving round trip. Transportation and mountain guiding are handled by separate professionals, so your guide can focus on the hike while the driver takes care of the road journey to and from Aconcagua.
This is a private experience, allowing the pace of the hike to be adjusted to you while your guide manages timing, altitude, weather, and mountain conditions throughout the day.
