Description

Begin your adventure with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in Ushuaia. Travel by vehicle to Tierra del Fuego National Park and start the guided trek near Ensenada Zaratiegui Bay.

Follow the Senda Costera, a 6.5 to 8 km trail that takes around 3 to 3.5 hours to complete. The trail follows the coastline of the Beagle Channel through lenga forests and natural coastal landscapes until reaching the area of Lake Acigami, also known as Lake Roca. Along the way, your bilingual guide will explain the local flora, birdlife, geography, and ecosystem of Tierra del Fuego.

Depending on weather, trail conditions, and operational considerations, short interpretive walks may also be included through peatland areas or sectors associated with beaver activity.

After the trek, continue to a heated dome near the Lapataia River for lunch. The standard menu includes a starter with cheeses, olives, mortadella, and bread; a Patagonian lamb casserole as the main course; assorted pastries and small cakes for dessert; mineral water and Patagonian red wine. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available when requested in advance.

After lunch, receive a safety briefing and the necessary canoeing equipment: inflatable canoe, paddle, rubber boots, waterproof overpants, and life jacket.

The canoeing section lasts approximately 1 hour. Paddle along the calm waters of the Lapataia and Ovando rivers until reaching Lapataia Bay, where the river environment meets the coastal landscape. This area is also located near the southern end of Argentina's National Route 3.

After the activity, return by vehicle to your accommodation in Ushuaia.
