Description
See Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, from the air on a private sightseeing flight in a Piper Archer (3 passenger seats). You meet your pilot at the Aeroclub Ushuaia airfield next to the port, get a short safety briefing and walk to the aircraft.
Once airborne, the pilot flies a route over the Beagle Channel, Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, Tierra del Fuego National Park, Lapataia Bay, Mount Martial and the Fuegian Andes and, on the longer flight, the lakes and glaciers of southern Tierra del Fuego, adjusted on the day for weather and air-traffic control. The whole aircraft is booked for your group only, up to 3 passengers, and everyone gets a window seat. Headsets let you talk to the pilot and ask about what you see below.
Bring your phone or camera: the windows give great angles for photos and video. After landing there is time for photos with the aircraft.
Flights are operated by a licensed local air operator. Flying depends on the weather: if the flight is cancelled for weather or safety reasons, you choose a new date or get a full refund.
