Highlights

  • Visit Puerto Almanza, the fishing village opposite Puerto Williams
  • Explore the Beagle Channel coast along off-the-beaten-path routes
  • Optional stop to try freshly caught king crab or local seafood
  • Private tour with a local guide, exclusively for your group
  • Pick-up and drop-off at your hotel or cruise port

Description

Get off the usual tourist trail and discover the most authentic side of Tierra del Fuego. We'll pick you up from your hotel or cruise port and head out along Route 3, traversing the Tierra Mayor Valley, surrounded by mountains and lenga forests.

Then we'll take Route J, a gravel road that runs along the Beagle Channel among peat bogs, forests and estancias. Along the way, you'll see the famous 'flag trees,' twisted by the Patagonian wind, and landscapes that few tourists ever encounter.

We'll arrive in Puerto Almanza, a small artisanal fishing village opposite Puerto Williams, Chile. From the coast, you can see Navarino Island and the activity of the king crab fishermen. If you want, we can stop for lunch at one of the village restaurants to try king crab and other freshly caught seafood. If not, we'll use the time to walk along the shore and take photos.

As this is a private sightseeing tour, the pace and stops can be tailored to you.
