- A journey through Tierra del Fuego to Martillo Island (Penguin Island).
- Travel through Tierra del Fuego to Martillo Island and its penguins.
Description
The experience begins at the tourist pier in Ushuaia, from where we leave the city behind to explore the landscapes of the easternmost part of the island. The overland tour combines National Route 3 and Provincial Route J, passing through forests, mountains, and rivers until reaching Puerto Almanza, a small town located on the shores of the Beagle Channel.
Once in Almanza, we board a boat to continue the tour along the Beagle Channel towards Martillo Island (Penguin Island). The boat trip lets us admire the Tierra del Fuego coastline from the water as we approach the area where a colony of penguins lives.
For about 40 minutes, we'll watch the penguins from the boat, without disembarking on the island. This is an opportunity to see penguins in the wild and discover one of the most iconic natural environments at the End of the World.
The drop-off in Ushuaia rounds off a day that combines scenic routes, Tierra del Fuego landscapes, Puerto Almanza, a cruise on the Beagle Channel, and marine life all in one experience.
