Description
Begin at the local tourist dock and board a comfortable boat. Cross Ushuaia Bay, entering the Beagle Channel through Paso Chico. Navigate around Bird Island to observe Tierra del Fuego seabird species such as skuas, black-browed albatross, steamer ducks, cauquenes, cook seagulls, and gray seagulls.
Continue to Sea Lion Island in the Bridges Archipelago, home to two species of sea lions. Visit Les Eclaireurs (The Illuminators) Lighthouse, notable for imperial and rocky cormorant colonies. Learn about the 1930 SS Monte Cervantes shipwreck.
