Description

Start your tour with a pickup at the city pier after disembarking from your cruise ship. Head to the lower valley of the Chubut River, passing through the towns founded by the Welsh. We’ll travel in our Dos Oceanos vehicle, accompanied by our guides and team. On the way to our first stop, admire a life-size replica of the largest dinosaur ever found in Patagonia: the Patagotitan Mayorum. Arrive in Gaiman, the place where the Welsh settled after arriving in Puerto Madryn. Enjoy a “Welsh tea” to sample traditional dishes during brunch in a house filled with artifacts from the area’s first settlers. The Welsh tea service in Gaiman is a traditional and hearty experience that includes a wide variety of homemade cakes, notably the classic Welsh cake, cream cake, walnut cake, and lemon cake, along with scones, homemade bread, butter, and regional sweets (especially lemon-based). After this experience, head to another town founded by the Welsh: Trelew. Visit the Egidio Feruglio Paleontological Museum to see the exhibition featuring replicas of the creatures that inhabited this land millions of years ago: the dinosaurs. There you’ll find a real bone and the largest dinosaur replica ever discovered in Patagonia. Finally, we return to Puerto Madryn, where you will be dropped off at the entrance to the pier.
