Description
Trade the crowded Aconcagua trails for Cerro Comisión — a 2,100 m summit in Mendoza's precordillera reached with an EPGAMT-AAGM certified mountain guide and a group capped at 8. The day starts with an early pickup at your Mendoza hotel and a scenic 33 km drive to Blanco Encalada, where the trail begins. After a safety briefing and gear check, you'll ascend gradually through a valley of seasonal streams and central Andean flora, with regular stops for photos, water, and stories about the range's geology, first explorers, and high-mountain ecosystem. At the summit, panoramic views of the Mendoza Andes open in every direction — the perfect spot to rest, eat your trail lunch, and take it in before the descent along the same route. You'll hike between 8 and 14 km round trip with 500–900 m of elevation gain, at a moderate pace suited to hikers with basic to moderate fitness. Your guide carries a full technical safety kit, first-aid supplies, and VHF radio communication throughout the day. Operates year-round in Spanish and English, with return drop-off at your hotel by evening.Includes
