Glacier Navigation Experience in El Calafate, Argentina

Choose between a classic full-day glacier cruise or a more comfortable navigation aboard the María Turquesa vessel, exploring glaciers in Los Glaciares National Park.

Description

Explore Los Glaciares National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, by sailing across Lake Argentino amid towering glaciers and floating icebergs. Two navigation options are available: a traditional full-day excursion or a cruise on a modern vessel, both offering views of Patagonia’s impressive ice formations.

Option 1: All Glaciares – Classic Navigation Experience

This full-day cruise sails through the northern arm of Lake Argentino, approaching the Upsala Glacier, one of South America’s largest, and the Spegazzini Glacier, notable for its dramatic height and ice walls. The tour includes a stop at Glaciers Bay for a box lunch on land. This option is suited for travelers seeking an immersive glacier experience with panoramic views and access to remote areas not reachable by land.

Option 2: María Turquesa Cruise – Comfortable Navigation Experience

Sail aboard the María Turquesa, a vessel designed for comfort with indoor lounges and outdoor decks. The route covers the same glaciers—Upsala and Spegazzini—and also passes the north wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Lunch is served on board. This option suits travelers preferring a quieter, more relaxed experience without sacrificing the views.
