Description
The tour begins with hotel pickup in El Calafate, followed by a 220 km drive to El Chaltén, known as Argentina’s National Trekking Capital. En route, you cross the Santa Cruz River and stop at the historic Estancia La Leona for a leg stretch, a wash break, and local food and drinks.
Weather permitting, there is a stop at Mirador del Glaciar Viedma to observe the Viedma Glacier alongside the surrounding peaks of Cerro Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre. Upon arrival in El Chaltén, your guide leads you on accessible walks to Mirador de los Cóndores, aimed at spotting condors and enjoying expansive mountain views, and Chorrillo del Salto, a path that ends at a waterfall.
A homemade lunch at a local restaurant is included depending on the option selected. This tour combines natural landscapes, wildlife observation, and a visit to a key mountain town within Los Glaciares National Park.
