Description
Begin with hotel pickup in El Calafate and a scenic drive through Patagonia toward the Magellanic Peninsula’s western edge. Upon arrival at Los Glaciares National Park, you have about three hours to explore the Perito Moreno Glacier independently.
Walk along a 4-kilometer (2.5-mile) network of elevated boardwalks offering safe access and panoramic views of the glacier from various levels. From lower balconies to higher terraces, each vantage point reveals new angles of the glacier’s immense icy facade and formations.
Lunch options include bringing your own packed meal or dining at park restaurants overlooking the glacier’s striking ice walls. An optional one-hour boat ride offers a unique perspective, bringing you close to the glacier’s massive terminus from the water.
