Description

Depart from your hotel in El Calafate and head to the port to start the tour. Sail through the Canal de los Témpanos into the Mayo Branch of Argentino Lake, where Cerro Mayo and Cerro Negro glaciers are visible only from the water.

Disembark at Toro Bay for an interpretative walk with your guide through native forest to a waterfall. From the lakeshore, observe the hanging glaciers on Cerro Mayo and Cerro Negro.

After a second navigation, disembark at Cerro Negro. Begin a 1,000-meter hike with your guide into the forest to the base of Cerro Negro, where you can see the Negro Glacier and the waterfalls it feeds along the bordering river.

Next, visit the Perito Moreno Glacier to sail along its northern front and the area of calving. Conclude with a walk along the boardwalks at Puerto Moreno before returning by boat to Punta Bandera and transferring back to El Calafate.
