Description
The experience begins with a van ride through Tierra Mayor Valley and winter resorts, reaching Paso Garibaldi before starting the treks.
First trek: Sunset at the Fuegian Lakes
This approximately 3-hour hike ascends to a mountain summit offering panoramic views of the Andes and Fuegian lakes. At the vantage point, participants enjoy a hot drink while taking in the scenery.
Snow is present for much of the year, so snowshoes or crampons are used depending on conditions.
Second trek: Laguna Espejo and mountain refuge
The second hike takes place in Carbajal Valley. After about one hour, the group arrives at Laguna Espejo, where a mountain refuge restaurant is located. In winter, the frozen lagoon may allow ice skating under certain conditions.
Participants enjoy a hot regional dinner surrounded by nature in a quiet setting. Afterwards, the return journey includes a roughly one-hour night hike through the forest, guided by headlamps.
