Description
Begin your tour with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Mendoza, Lujan de Cuyo, or Maipu. Head to the Lujan de Cuyo region and visit 1 winery, each offering a unique wine tasting experience. Learn about the different methods of winemaking, including, and other techniques. Spend 1.5 hours (1 & half hour)
After the winery visit, head to a private home in the wine country. Be welcomed with a glass of champagne or white wine. Enjoy a tasting of local preserves, cold cuts, and cheeses.
Begin a cooking class and tasting, learning about each wine you enjoy, its distinct aromas, flavors, and nuances. Make Argentinian and Mendoza-style empanadas. Once the empanadas are in the oven, start seasoning the meat for the famous Argentinian asado.
With a good, pre-lit fire and already enjoying the empanadas, begin the asado ritual. Continue tasting local wines to accompany the empanadas, and while cooking the meat over the fire, learn about the region, its relationship with winemaking, its history, and the strong and renowned varietals of Mendoza.
Enjoy the main course of Argentinian asado accompanied by classic salads such as Mixed Salad (Onion, Lettuce, and Tomato), Spring Salad (Potato, Mayonnaise, Carrot, and Peas), and Grilled Vegetables (Onion, Fennel, Bell Pepper, Eggplant, and Squash).
Finish your meal with a dessert, choosing between Argentine Homemade Flan or pancakes with dulce de leche and powdered sugar, an Argentine classic.
