Buenos Aires Bike Tour: North or South Circuit

Explore Buenos Aires by bike with a bilingual local guide, choosing either the North or South circuit to suit your interests. Suitable for riders aged 12 and above, this tour covers major city landmarks in approximately four hours.

South Circuit

Begin in San Telmo, the city's historic old quarter, where time feels frozen in the early 1900s. Visit Lezama Park while learning about Buenos Aires’ foundation, immigration, and Tango history. Continue to La Boca’s border, stopping at La Bombonera stadium, a symbol of local football culture.

Explore Caminito, a colorful area once Buenos Aires’ first port and now a hub for local artists. Then bike to Puerto Madero, the city's modern harbor district known for its evolving skyline. From there, visit the Ecological Reserve, an 865-acre nature area between the city and Rio de La Plata (note: the reserve is closed on Mondays and may close due to bad weather).

The tour concludes at Plaza de Mayo, site of the city’s official founding in 1580, with views of the Old Cabildo, Metropolitan Cathedral (former home of Pope Francis), and Casa Rosada presidential offices.

North Circuit

Experience Buenos Aires’ late 19th-century architecture, parks, and historic neighborhoods. Start downtown in the business district, then head to Retiro and Plaza San Martin to see Belle Epoque palaces and architectural icons. Visit Recoleta, known for its cemetery (not entered on the tour), cafes, ice cream shops, and museums.

Continue north to Palermo, passing landmarks like Floralis Genérica, General San Martin’s house, and the Museum of Contemporary Art. Explore Palermo’s parks and the Rose Garden before returning via Congress Square, next to the Legislative building.

The tour ends back at the starting point after approximately four hours of cycling.
