Description

Escape the crowds and ski lifts on this small-group 4x4 tour into an old lenga forest just minutes from San Martín de los Andes. Traveling in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle, you'll leave the traditional circuits behind and head into a quiet corner of the Patagonian mountains, driving along forest trails before continuing on foot to explore the snow-covered lenga woodland at your own pace. Groups are capped at 4 travelers, so there's no rush and plenty of room to enjoy the silence. Along the way, your driver-guide will point out native flora, share stories about the area, and stop wherever you'd like to take photos or simply enjoy the silence of the forest. Partway through the tour, settle in for a break with hot mate, coffee or tea, included in your booking, while you take in the mountain scenery. The tour covers around 4 hours in total, most of it spent in and around San Martín de los Andes. Please note this tour is not wheelchair accessible and is not recommended for travelers with back problems, heart conditions or other serious medical conditions, or for pregnant travelers. Warm winter clothing is not included, so dress accordingly for snow and cold mountain conditions.
