Description

Experience the thrill of standing at the true End of the World, where the Pan-American Highway, stretching over 15,000 km from Alaska, meets its final stop in Tierra del Fuego National Park. Just 1,000 km from Antarctica, this tour takes you to one of the most symbolic and magical corners of the planet. Your adventure begins around 7:30 AM with hotel pickup in Ushuaia, heading just 12 km west to reach the entrance of the national park. Before entering, there’s an optional stop at the historic End of the World Train Station, where you can board a vintage train once used by prisoners. The 60-minute journey through pristine forest ends inside the park, where you’ll rejoin the group. If you opt out of the train ride, enjoy a tranquil walk in the Fuegian forest. Once inside the park, the tour continues to Ensenada Bay, a peaceful spot where the Andes, sea, and sub-Antarctic forest converge—a truly unique ecosystem. This is also where the southernmost post office in the Americas is located, offering a rare chance to send a postcard from the End of the World. The area is rich in indigenous history, with visible traces of the Yámana people. Next, your guide will lead you through short interpretive hikes, ideal for spotting local wildlife and appreciating the region’s unique flora. You’ll visit Acigami (Roca) Lake, shared with Chile and surrounded by dramatic mountain peaks, and then Lapataia Bay, where you’ll find the iconic sign marking the end of the Pan-American Highway—a must-have photo opportunity. Perfect for nature lovers, explorers, and curious travelers alike, this half-day excursion blends breathtaking landscapes, history, and the thrill of visiting the last stretch of the South American continent.
