With a local guide we are going to cycle over the salt, visit the pools where the salt is extracted, and the natural ponds called "Ojos del Salar". Lunch will be in the middle of the Salinas.

Description

The tour begins in Purmamarca, we will take by car the national route N°52 that climbs trough 'La Cuesta de Lipan'. On the way we will stop in some panoramic viewpoints, and after 1,30hs we will arrive to Salinas Grandes. There we will catch our bikes to ride over the salt. On the way we will be with a local guide who will explain and share his knowledge about the altiplano and the saltflats. After 7km, our picnic lunch take place in the middle of Salinas, far from other people. Then in that place the guide will show us how is the traditional way of salt extraction. After the experience we will ride or bikes again to the starting point to comeback to Purmamarca by car.
