Description
Your adventure begins early in the morning in El Calafate, as you set off on an epic journey toward one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in Patagonia: the Perito Moreno Glacier.
Over the course of the 80-kilometer drive, you’ll be immersed in the raw beauty of the region — passing the vast, shimmering waters of Lago Argentino and its Bahía Redonda, winding streams, dense native forests, snow-capped peaks, and rolling Patagonian hills.
Throughout the trip, a bilingual guide will accompany you, sharing fascinating facts and stories about the area’s history, geology, and the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier itself, helping you connect more deeply with the landscape unfolding before your eyes.
We’ll make a stop to admire the first panoramic views of the glacier’s imposing southern wall, before reaching Los Glaciares National Park, — a perfect moment for photos and quiet awe.
Once we arrive at the park entrance, the entrance fee is paid, and we begin the final leg of the journey toward the iconic walkways. From there, you’re free to explore at your own pace.
The elevated boardwalks offer a safe and accessible way to discover the glacier from multiple angles, with plenty of time to stop, take photos, and soak in the sounds of cracking ice and birdsong.
The main balcony, located near the entrance, provides a sweeping view of the towering glacier walls, while the lower balcony — just 400 meters away — brings you closer to the glacier’s dramatic, ever-changing face.
There’s the option to join a one-hour Nautical Safari, for those who want to enhance their experience: a boat ride that glides along the southern face of the glacier, offering a unique, water-level perspective of its immense blue walls and towering ice formations.
There’s a restaurant and a snack bar on site — perfect for a relaxed lunch or coffee with a glacier view.
