Description
We'll travel to Monte León National Park, Argentina's first continental marine national park, a protected area where the Patagonian steppe meets the Atlantic in an imposing landscape of cliffs, secluded beaches, and islands that shelter unique fauna.
During the tour, we'll explore strategic points of the park to observe one of the most outstanding colonies of Magellanic penguins, which in the nesting season offers a unique experience to see their natural behavior in a protected environment. We'll also visit a non-breeding rookery of South American sea lions, where you can observe them resting on the rocky coast while enjoying the immense sea that surrounds them. You'll also have privileged views of the iconic Monte León Island, home to seabirds, sea lions, and an unmistakable emblem of Patagonian natural heritage.
The tour lets you interpret not only the fauna, but also the geology, natural history, and conservation value of the area. Between ocean-shaped cliffs, pebble beaches, and coastal trails, each stop invites you to connect with a wild, ancient, and remote Patagonia. Depending on the conditions, you can also spot cormorants, skuas, southern seagulls, and other seabirds that complement this extraordinary ecosystem.
The experience is private, with a specialized guide, and includes time for observation, photography, and interpretation of the environment. It's ideal for those who want to enjoy nature at a leisurely pace and get a deeper look at the destination.
