Description

Make the most of your time and enjoy the mountains near the city of Mendoza. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays (afternoon): Explore Cacheuta and Potrerillos west of Mendoza. Visit the ruins of the former FADER power plant in Cajón de Cacheuta (the narrowest section of the Mendoza River), cross the 140-meter suspension bridge, and go through the tunnel to Potrerillos with views of the dam and its 10-kilometer artificial lake. Enjoy 1 hour free for snacks or optional activities in Potrerillos Park (not included). Return via Route 7 through Agrelo (Malbec area) with views of wineries such as Septima, Chandon, and Norton. Wednesdays and Saturdays (morning): Travel along the San Martin route of the Army of the Andes to the Villavicencio Nature Reserve. Visit its interpretation center, the historic gardens of the Hotel Villavicencio, and its chapel. Admire the landscape from the Mirador de los Caracoles before returning to Mendoza at approximately 1:00 p.m. Note: Optional activities/entrance fees not included are indicated.
