Following pick-up from your hotel, depart Mendoza and journey south towards the Atuel Canyon. Take in the breathtaking views and sharp contrasts of the Uco Valley, from its deserts to mirrors of water. Admire the large, sculptural walls of natural rock formations produced by erosion from the wind and water. Upon arrival at Villa 25 de Mayo, journey back in time and explore a little of the colonial history. It was here that Fort San Rafael del Diamante was built in 1805, marking the formal establishment of the city of San Rafael. Continue to the Nihuil Dam and discover a favorite spot for nature lovers who go there to swim, fish, hike and relax. Explore Atuel Canyon with its striking natural wall sculptures, hanging gardens, and the intriguing Rivadavia's chair. Discover the Wax Museum along the way and enjoy the soothing sounds of the Atuel River. Your adventure leads you to the stunning Valle Grande dam, a haven of unparalleled beauty, where you can unwind and have lunch (not included). Then, take a stroll through the city of San Rafael before heading back to Mendoza for the end of the tour services.
