Description
This full 2-day tour invites you to dive into the majesty of the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its natural, historical, and cultural richness. Along the way, you'll pass through unique landscapes and discover the essence of the villages of northern Argentina, where tradition and nature live in perfect harmony.
The trip kicks off in Purmamarca, a charming town at the foot of the famous Cerro de los Siete Colores, whose natural palette of hues makes this place one of the region's most iconic postcard spots. You'll keep going to Maimará, surrounded by the awesome Paletas de Pintores, mountain formations that look like they were painted by hand. Later, you'll check out Tilcara, famous for its Pucará, a pre-Hispanic fortress that holds the memory of ancient Andean cultures and offers panoramic views of the gorge.
The tour also includes stops in Uquía, where you can check out its colonial church that houses valuable paintings of the Arcabuceros Angels, and in Humahuaca, the heart of the gorge, where you can soak up history in every corner and enjoy a lively local atmosphere. To top it all off, you'll get to visit the Salinas Grandes, a huge white salt desert that's really something to see.
Throughout the tour, you'll get to connect with the local culture, check out craft fairs, taste the regional cuisine, and enjoy the warm welcome from the communities that keep their ancestral traditions alive.
In short, it's the perfect trip for those looking for unforgettable landscapes, cultural richness, and authentic experiences in northern Argentina.
