Day Trip to Basilica of Luján

Make the most of your time in Buenos Aires with a day trip to the Basilica of Luján, an important place of worship in Argentina. Choose between climbing one of its turrets or going on a 360 Viewpoint circuit.

Day Trip Options

During the booking process, choose between two options. Both start and end at the Combis terminal at the Obelisk, include bus transport, an English-speaking guide, tickets, and lunch.

Basilica of Luján + Climb up the Towers (7 Hours)

The experience begins in the crypt, featuring over 70 Marian images worldwide, along with stories about the devotion to our Lady of Luján, the patron saint of Argentina. Next, visit the Historical Museum of the Basilica to see priceless relics, including the original crown of our Lady of Luján and the Golden Rose.

Then, enjoy an à la carte lunch at 1516 restaurant before returning to the basilica to climb its towers. At the top, visit the upper gallery for views inside the church and reach the A Giorno gallery, 32 meters high, for scenic views of Luján. Finally, venture onto the basilica's roof for additional views.

Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Basilica of Luján + 360º Viewpoint (9.5 Hours)

This option is for those not afraid of heights. Follow the same route as the previous itinerary and ascend to a height of 65 meters after lunch. Participate in the 360º Viewpoint circuit, exploring hidden corners at the top, including the bell tower with 20 bells made from melted war cannons.

Visit the tallest viewpoint for views of Luján and enjoy regional sweets paired with herbal teas. The visit concludes at the Pilgrim's Rest to view the original cross of the Basilica and the cloister with a 6-meter cross.
