Description

This Protected Natural Area was created as such, in 1979, has a total extension of 210 hectareas, and can be visited from September to April. The beach is considered intangible area, and in February you will find it, full of Penguins Chicks practicing swimming, especially in the small pools leave it from the tides. Leaving Puerto Madryn, toward the south, by the Nº 3 national route, and after traveling through 120 miles of pavement and gravel, we will arrive at Punta Tombo, the greater continental reserve of Magellan Penguins (Spheniscus Magallanicus). This incredible place its home of thousands of Magellan Penguins, and every year since October, they arrive to nest and to have their chicks.
