On this guided tour of Chinatown and Barrancas de Belgrano Park, we will explore streets rich in culture and Asian architecture, showcased by K-pop murals and green spaces.
We will meet at the Belgrano C station of the Mitre-Tigre railway at the specified time, located on Vertiz Avenue. After a brief introduction to the neighborhood's origins, we will walk along Arribeños Street, crossing the Welcome Arch, a symbol of Chinatown adorned with dragons, while admiring K-pop themed murals by artists like Martín Ron.
Our tour continues through the pedestrianised Via Vai, known for its alternative gastronomy, before heading to Juramento Avenue and entering Barrancas de Belgrano Park, noted for its unique monuments, including the replica of the Statue of Liberty.
We will then traverse the tree-lined streets of Belgrano, known for its parks and cultural diversity, also referred to as Villa Freud due to the presence of numerous psychological clinics.
Next, we will visit Plaza Belgrano, the neighborhood's center, where the Museo de Arte Enrique Larreta hosts sculptures, paintings, and antique furniture, allowing us to enjoy its Andalusian gardens reminiscent of the Alhambra.
Optionally, you may enjoy a coffee or tea at the Crock Madame restaurant within the museum. We will conclude our 2.5-hour guided tour near Juramento Avenue.
