San Telmo & Mataderos Markets Tour (6 hours 30 mins)

We will meet at 10:30 am at number 831 on Calle Defensa to visit the San Pedro Telmo Antiques Fair, held every Sunday in Plaza Dorrego and on Defensa with 200 stalls offering various treasures. The market atmosphere includes a live tango orchestra and couples dancing, showcasing authentic Buenos Aires culture.

Next, we'll visit the San Telmo Market, a century-old building with diverse stalls. After learning the history of this market, we will proceed to the Mataderos Market, or Feria de Mataderos, a reflection of the Gaucho culture. Here, we'll sample roast meats and local dishes. The tour concludes around 5 pm.

Mataderos Market Tour (4 hours)

This tour starts at 12:30 pm in San Telmo, heading directly to the Mataderos Market. Visitors will have the chance to sample dishes like tamales and empanadas.

We will explore over 300 stalls of crafts and food. Optionally, we can visit the Criollo de los Corrales Museum. Lunch will feature empanadas and a drink. Following this, we will enjoy folkloric shows and play pool on historic tables, concluding the tour and returning to the initial meeting point after 4 hours.

In case of rain, the Mataderos Fair tour will be cancelled, and the San Telmo Fair tour will be extended to include various historical sites.
