Description

Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Bariloche. Drive along the shores of Lakes Gutiérrez and Mascardi, taking in the stunning views. Cross a bridge over the Manso River and continue to Pampa Linda, where you'll stop for lunch and a break. For those who wish, take a short, easy hike in the Valle de los Vuriloches. After a 10-minute walk, reach a panoramic viewpoint to see a waterfall. Continue for another 10 minutes to get closer to the waterfall. Continue your journey through a forest of beech and coihue trees, arriving at the end of the route. Enjoy spectacular views of the Manso Glacier, also known as the Black Glacier. Visit a large rocky amphitheater called Garganta del Diablo, where waterfalls cascade from great heights, a result of the melting ice. Cross the bridge over the Lower Manso River to see the three characteristic peaks of the Tronador: Argentina, 3410 m; International, 3554 m; and Chile, 3474 m. Finally, return to Bariloche, passing by Lake Gnats and the Manso River to reach Lake Hess, where the road ends.
