COVID-19 - Updates from Argentina

The following are the restrictions that will apply as of Monday, June 1 in Buenos Aires, after the end of the strict nine-day isolation established by the national government to reduce coronavirus infections.
 
Buenos Aires province:

  1. The prohibition of circulating between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. is maintained, except for essential workers.

  2. Shopping centers and shopping malls, and commercial premises are closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the next day.

  3. Gastronomic venues (restaurants, bars, etc.) must close between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. the next day, except in the home delivery modalities and also in the withdrawal modality, provided that the latter is carried out in nearby premises. Between 6 and 19 o'clock they will only be able to serve their clients in open-air spaces.

  4. The recreational practice of group contact sports in outdoor spaces is maintained.

  5. Clubs, gyms, and other related establishments remain closed.

  6. Presence in classrooms is still suspended and classes must be virtual. The schooling of students of the special education modality, in agreement with their families, is exempted from the suspension of face-to-face classes.

 
Buenos Aires city:

  1. Presence at the initial and primary levels returns.

  2. General circulation will be restricted from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., bars and restaurants will be able to work in an outdoor space up to four people per table and until 7:00 p.m., to later be able to provide service through delivery or take away.

  3. In addition, essential businesses will work until 19, industry and construction will be enabled, although, in the case of works of more than 1,500 square meters, the company must guarantee the transfer of its workers to free public transport for essential personnel.

  4. Sports and religious ceremonies will return for up to 10 people, in both cases outdoors, while professional office activities will continue with remote work.
