Begin your experience with a warm welcome, accompanied by soft music and aromas. Meet an authentic yerba mate sommelier, your host, and discover the purpose of this workshop.
Are you familiar with mate? What does mate mean to you?
Next, dive into the history and context of yerba mate. Discover its Guarani origin, cultural evolution, and the differences between countries. Learn about the different types of yerba, mates (gourds), and bombillas (metal straws).
Then, get hands-on as you prepare mate 'correctly.' Understand the importance of different water temperatures and brewing rhythms. With guidance, prepare your own mate and taste the drink you’ve made.
Finally, wrap up the workshop by sharing reflections and asking questions.
