Description
Explore the Yungas jungle, in Jujuy, get off the beaten track and discover this unforgettable experience in the heart of the wilderness. The program includes horseback riding through the jungle, relaxation in your private Jacuzzi, an asado under the stars and an overnight stay in a lodge equipped with all modern amenities. All this in an authentic finca set amidst the mountains of the Yungas. At 7 a.m., a driver will pick you up in Salta Capital or Jujuy Capital. At 9 a.m., you will arrive at the finca and enjoy breakfast while the team saddles the horses. You'll then set off on horseback, on an authentic Argentine criollo, for 2h30 on jungle trails, in the middle of the mountains. You'll be accompanied by one of the finca's gauchos, who knows the area inside out, and a translator (English and French). And, if you're lucky, you'll get to meet some of its wild inhabitants: toucans, pavo del monte, pecari, etc. At lunchtime, you'll stop in a forest glade in the middle of the jungle, and enjoy an authentic Argentine picada, facing the mountains. On the menu: empanadas, escabeche, bondiola ham, criollo cheese, homemade bread and cake for dessert, all accompanied by a glass of wine. The horseback ride then continues for an 1h30 through the rolling landscape of the Yungas. In the late afternoon, on your return to the finca, you'll enjoy a 'thermal experience' relaxing soak in your private ecological Jacuzzi, fed by a mountain spring and heated on cold evenings. You'll also settle into your fully-equipped lodge, and enjoy the terrace with its panoramic view of the Yungas. At dinnertime, an Argentinian asado is delivered to your terrace, complete with side dishes, dessert and a glass of wine. Beef comes from the finca, fruit and vegetables from the neighboring village. After a comforting night's sleep, enjoy a delicious continental breakfast delivered to your lodge. On the menu: hot drink, fresh orange juice, homemade cakes, wood-fired bread, mermelades, honey, criollo cheese, scrambled eggs, etc. If you wish, you can walk through the jungle on one of the marked trails around the lodges. At 11 a.m., the driver will pick you up and take you back to Salta or Jujuy Capital.Includes
