Description

Escape Buenos Aires and discover the true heart of Argentina on this full-day countryside experience. Travel comfortably in a private vehicle to one of two traditional estancias (ranches), where you’ll spend an unforgettable day surrounded by wide open pampas, fine food, and gaucho traditions. You’ll choose between Estancia Santa Susana, known for its vibrant folkloric shows and large-scale celebration of Argentine culture, or Estancia La Bandada, a peaceful retreat offering a relaxed, hands-on connection with rural life. Option 1: Estancia Santa Susana – A Festive Cultural Experience Arrive at 11:00 a.m. and be greeted with warm empanadas, wine, and juice at the ranch house. After the welcome reception, hop aboard a horse-drawn carriage for a scenic ride through the surrounding farmland, visit the small chapel, and explore the colonial museum inside the old farmhouse. At 1:00 p.m., enjoy a traditional Argentine barbecue (asado), with all food and drinks included. As lunch winds down, the atmosphere comes alive with a tango and folk-music show, followed by a thrilling boleadoras demonstration where gauchos display their rope-throwing skills. Head outdoors for exciting horseback stunts, animal herding, and the famous ring race (la sortija). Before heading back, enjoy a cup of mate with pastelitos (sweet pastries). The visit ends around 4:00–4:15 p.m. Option 2: Estancia La Bandada – A Relaxed, Hands-On Countryside Day At La Bandada, the experience begins with a welcome drink and a fun empanada-making class, where you’ll learn to fold the perfect repulgue. While the barbecue cooks, explore the ranch on a walk or horseback ride through the fields. Lunch features a variety of grilled meats, fresh salads, and vegetables from the garden, served with local wine. In the afternoon, watch gaucho skill demonstrations such as the barrel race and ring game, then take time to rest, cycle, or swim in the pool. Before departure, enjoy a typical pampeano tea with mate and criollo pastries — a gentle ending to a perfect rural escape. The day runs from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
