Description

Following pick-up from your hotel in downtown Mendoza, journey south towards the Atuel Canyon and take in the breathtaking views and contrasts of the Uco Valley. Pass through an important farming region en route to San Rafael in the southern part of Mendoza Province. Arrive at the colonial settlement of Villa 25 de Mayo and journey back in time to where San Rafael began. See the dams of Galileo Vitale, El Nihuil and Valle Grande that provide irrigation for the region's vineyards and orchards. Then, venture into the breathtaking landscapes of the narrow gorge of Atuel Canyon, and discover unique rock formations with names such as 'The Castle' and 'The Cathedral.' End with a tour of the Monjes Perdidos ('Lost Monks') and Mesa de las Brujas ('Table of the Witches'), and take a look at the hydroelectric complex of El Nihuil Dike before heading back to Mendoza to get dropped off at your hotel.
